A Bad Start

Before we leave, I always pray for a safe and uneventful trip. I pulled over in Salem for some 5 hour energy and realized I had forgotten my purse. We had no money, no credit cards and most importantly, no license. So, I called Ted at 7:30 in the morning and asked him to drive for three hours to bring me my purse... and I was crying. But then we realized Andrew had his ATM card and also his 239 dollars of "on the road money" with him. But then I was worried that wasn't enough money to pay for the hotel and gas all the way to Phoenix. So we told Ted to get on the road again, as we got ready to take a three hour nap. However, Isaac calculated that we could perhaps make it on the money we had, and so we called Ted and told him to drive home. We got back on the road, and had Ted overnight the wallet to Phoenix for a one-time charge of 90 dollars. We ended up only losing one hour due to the calculating and crying.

  1. That is horrifying! The very sort of thing I would do! I missed you at Mass yesterday, and I guess you were crying at the time.
