All Wet
What a good stroke looks like
Quite impressed with himself
What happens when you dive in wrong and lose your goggles
It is almost the end of swimming season. Andrew was a new competitive swimmer, and did really well in the 50 and 100 freestyle. I think the practices in the middle of the night were not his favorite part of being on the team. I can't believe how quickly he picked it up, I am so proud of him. He only has two more meets, and then he won't smell like chlorine anymore ( I hope).

No Crying
The joys of living with an absurdly steep, yet short driveway. All the groceries shift to the back of the car, and then they all fall out when the back is opened. This milk jug landed perfectly upright and burst. Several days worth of milk just flowed into the street. I guess it's not as bad as when a huge glass jar of spaghetti sauce jumped out.

Science Fair Season
Now it is Jack's turn to embark upon a science project. He and his father came up with a hydro-computer. It involves surgical tubing, styrofoam cups, buckets and water dripping all over my kitchen. He has already put way more effort in to his project, than the twins did last year. I remember the twins doing all of their project work the night before the fair, the. night. before. Dad is having a blast working on this with Jack, I hope dad gets a good grade.

A Visit To My Next Home
I visited Calvary Cemetary with my church group. We learned so much about Catholic funerals and burials, rituals, customs, both in practice and out of vogue...and interestingly, that people used to bury limbs, if they had become separated from their bodies before time. That is an out of vogue practice nowadays. It was so peaceful and beautiful. It was quite fascinating that some very "big" Seattle names are buried there, yet they seemed to have some of the least ostentatious markers of all. I want the biggest Mary statue for me of course! I could have stayed all day, walking around, but nature started calling me and would not stop. I practically had to run back to the car. I still can't stop thinking about the place, it was so wonderful.

Last Day Of Vacation
Relaxing on our last day before the school grind begins again. Finals, swim practice in the middle of the night, violin lessons, and lots of rides on metro. Schnitzel and I like it so much better when the boys are home.

Happy Crabby New Year
We ate loads of Dungeness for New Year's,my kitchen still smells like crab. A meal that involves using tools is always fun.
